We had to drive through a gnarly storm into DC but my husband drove so all I had to do was be anxious. I lose my cool and all super powers in heavy rain.
I kept freaking out because I kept getting tornado watch alerts on my phone. My husband, Rich said, “Not to worry. I don’t see any funnel clouds.”
So we made it through the storm. Rich played a cute game with our 3 year old to keep him entertained. Rich would pretend to turn off the rain when going under an overpass. Then Ben would turn on the rain. It was cute and lots of gorgeous giggles from Ben.
We spent our first night in DC riding the escalators. Up. Down. Again. Repeat.
Got a good night’s rest. Now we are headed to zoo. Waiting at thr Metro. My mom always took us into the city as kids. She was fun to travel with.
Train coming by in Metro
We are ready to roll..
So many things to do in DC.
Read previous post “Be Bold. Be Brave. Be Beautiful” to get more details of why we are in DC.
You can make a donation as little as $5 to help my nephew pay for his airline ticket to DC for my mom’s funeral at Arlington National Cemetery.
